When my father was younger his grandmother (my great grandmother) used to collect dimes for him. A nickel wasn't enough and a quarter was a lot back then. So it was dimes. When she passed away my dad and I went for breakfast the next day. The whole restaurant was empty and the booth we decided to sit in.... there was a shiny new dime heads up in the seat. Heads up is very good luck.
Well ever since then dimes would pop up in the most random of places. Once I even saw one in the middle of my toilet seat.
This whole time I was waiting for a sign from her. Well a couple of days ago it happened. I put my stuff in the cup holder of the treadmill.... and there it was... A DIME. HEADS UP! This was the sign I was looking for!!!! I needed that little push. For anyone that knows me you know how close I a was to her and how devastated I was when she died. There is not a day that I don't think about her. The fact that I saw that dime, that I saw it that day.
Now that I have been writing about my great grandmother... I feel like I should confess something. I drove into the Taco Bell Parking lot. I started to get in the line. In an instant however, I thought.... 'WHAT AM I DOING?!?" I immediately moved my car and went to the gym.
But I digress.... It's day 10. Done. I can't believe how unbelievably happy I am.
